Independence day of Malaysia

I did not plan at all to write anything about the independence day today but after many seconds of thoughts about it, I thought it would be a good idea to just simply wish everyone a Happy Merdeka day. and also would like to thank those warriors and heroes who actually made it happen back in the days. If it wasn't for you, Malaysia could may still be under the British influence though that doesn't so much like a bad idea. If the British were still here, they wouldn't have celebrated any national day by rising the petrol price but nevertheless...ThankYou for making Malaysia a home for our 27million population.

Price Rise

Minutes after updating, it was announced that prices for petrol will rise at midnight tonight. Petrol prices has been fluctuating up and down this past 1 year. It was before 1.90 as of last year. Then it went up to 2.35. Then 2.72. This was the peak of everything really. Due to this, prices of loads of other things had to also rise. We as consumers and citizens of this very country have to suffer. It's not fair at all in any way.
So after loads of haggling by the opposition party and many many long arguments with citizens, it went right back down to 1.80. It has been like that for few months now. We all came to an ease of mind. Suddenly! today.. on the day of our very own independence day celebration. They decided to treat the whole country with a rise in petrol of 25cents. This means from 1.80, the price will shoot up to 2.05. Doesn't sound much i must admit but every two-three days now, I have to spend an extra 5 bucks.
Normally, I'll fill my car up 20litres which is at the present price(before midnight tonight) 36ringgit. Does sound reasonable. My Suzuki Swift will do about 50mpg so that means my 20litres will take me about 250kms. Instead of 36 ringgit, i now have to spend 41 ringgit to get 20litres. Its very taxing especially when you have to pay for your own petrol. sighh..
PLEASE REDUCE THE PRICE FOR GODS SAKES!!
